  • Leg injury at work

    The claimant, Carol Gonzales, filed a petition for arbitration and seeks workers’ compensation benefits from Quaker Oats Company, employer, and Indemnity Insurance Company of North America, insurance carrier.

  • UIHC Healthcare Workers

    Healthcare workers filed a law suit against the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, alleging they aren’t being paid on time for extra work. The plaintiffs hoped to have the case recognized as a class action, and say there are thousands of potential members who also not being paid in a timely fashion. Attorney Nate Willems represented the workers.

  • Waterloo School District

    Graciela de Maldonado, claimant, filed a petition in arbitration seeking workers’ compensation benefits from Waterloo Community School District, employer and United Wisconsin Insurance Company, insurance carrier as defendants. The case resulted in Waterloo School District being ordered to pay weekly benefits and additional medical treatment.

    Daniel Kvidahl, claimant, filed a petition in arbitration seeking workers’ compensation benefits from Skilled Trades Inc and it’s insurer, Zurich American Insurance Company as a result of an injury that arose out of and in the course of his employment.
